Investing in your mental health is an important step towards personal growth and wellbeing. My aim is to provide professional counselling with clear, transparent pricing.
I offer a free 20-minute introductory call via video or telephone. This gives us an opportunity to get to know each other, explore what you’re looking for, and answer any initial questions. If you feel comfortable to proceed, we can then arrange your first session.
Please note that all sessions are currently delivered online or by telephone.
Duration: 50 minutes
Location: Online or Telephone
These sessions are tailored to your specific needs, using a range of therapeutic approaches to support your ongoing progress.
They are designed to be part of a consistent, regular counselling process, typically held on a weekly basis, allowing for continuity and deeper therapeutic work over time.
Duration: 90 minutes
Location: Online or Telephone
A one-off session designed to give you the space to talk openly and work through what’s on your mind in a supportive, non-judgemental environment. This option is particularly suitable for returning clients who have not attended sessions for a while.
A longer 90-minute session allows time to properly reconnect, review your current situation, and ensure you receive the most effective support.
Payment is due at the time of your session. We accept various payment methods, including cash, credit/debit cards, and electronic BACS transfer 24hrs prior to your session start time.
If you have any financial concerns, please discuss with me, as I believe that financial barriers should not prevent you from accessing the menal health support you need.
Sliding scale options may be available in certain circumstances.
To ensure appointments are available for those in need, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your session. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a fee equivalent to the full session cost.
Your well-being is my priority, and I am here to support you every step of the way. If you have any questions or need further information about the costs, please feel free to contact me.
Mending Minds is an independent counselling practice owned and operated by myself (Izabela Burge). I am the principle therapist who conducts all therapy sessions with clients.
I am a fully qualified Level 5 Pluralistic Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, and registered with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). I was university educated in the United States of America, and have a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations and Psychology.
Yes, I am fully DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service ) checked in line with current UK regulations.
Absolutely. All therapy sessions conducted are treated in the strictest of confidence. We do not hold any personal data on yourself, ensuring your right to privacy and dignity is upheld at all times.
Professional therapists are committed to maintaining the strictest confidentiality. However, there are some exceptions. For instance, if you express intent to harm yourself or another identifiable person, your therapist may be obligated to report this to the appropriate authorities. Additionally, therapists may undergo regular professional supervision as part of their ethical responsibilities.
If you have any concerns or questions about confidentiality, please feel free to discuss them with your therapist before starting your sessions.
Unfortunately, I am not able to offer face-to-face counselling at this time.
Your therapist, Izabela, is available through email, phone, SMS, and video conferencing. While all therapy sessions are typically conducted via video, alternative arrangements can be made if needed. Feel free to reach out to Izabela with any questions or concerns via email, text, or phone.
All sessions are conducted through secure video calls, allowing you to connect with your therapist face-to-face in a virtual setting via Google Meet (similar to Zoom or FaceTime).
To get started, simply schedule a session with your therapist. You'll receive an email invitation confirming the time and details. When it's time for your session, just log into Google Meet and start the call. Once you're connected, you'll be able to begin your video chat and talk openly with your therapist in real time.
In most cases, we recommend video calls for therapy sessions, as they often lead to the best results. However, we understand that technology can feel overwhelming for some, and speaking to someone over video may be challenging or stressful.
If you’d feel more comfortable with phone-based counselling, we’re happy to explore options and create a therapy plan that works for you.
To confirm your therapy sessions, payment must be made in advance. We accept secure payments via bank transfer, or by credit and debit card through Stripe.
Countless studies support the effectiveness of online therapy for creating meaningful life changes. But my true confidence in this approach comes from the feedback and testimonials I receive from clients. Every day, I’m inspired by the stories of those who’ve experienced life-changing results through this service.
“Working with Izabela has been life-changing. I always believed I could overcome anxiety, but I lacked the tools and support. With her patience and genuine care, I now feel like I’m nearly through the other side. I highly recommend her to anyone facing similar struggles.”
“Izabela has transformed my healing journey, helping me release long-held issues I didn’t fully understand. She creates a safe space to explore difficult emotions, and her guidance has been invaluable. I highly recommend her as a compassionate and knowledgeable therapist.”
“I really recommend Izabela to anyone who needs to see a therapist. She’s very understanding, patient and knowledgeable. She made me feel more confident in myself and gave me more tools for myself to use in everyday life and relationships. I can’t wait for more sessions!”
“Truly overwhelmed by the response I received to my enquiry and how compassionate you are. I’ve never been treated that nicely with my mental health and normally judged, or people think well it’s not happening to you, so not your issue. Very good at your job. Thank you.”
